Between the sale of our goals and the amazing help of individuals, companies, and communities, we have completed building the new Tumaini School.

Hi everyone, we are Taylor and Jordan, brother and sister, and three years ago we got on a plane and visited an orphanage in Kenya to deliver soccer cleats. While we were there, something happened that turned it into a trip that would change the course of our lives forever. The place we visited, the Tumaini Miles of Smiles Orphanage, like plenty of other communities in poverty, needed a new school built to meet improved educational standards so that their kids could receive a quality education - a key aspect of breaking the poverty cycle. So, by mixing our biggest passion - soccer - with the concept of business innovation, our for-profit company Crossbar was born. At Crossbar, we supply high-end soccer goals and use 100% of our profits to build schools for communities in need, like Tumaini.

For as long as this game has existed, there has been at least two goals on every single field, so why not give them a greater purpose? You know? You can read more about that 100% model here. We are currently working to build the Tumaini School at the Tumaini Miles of Smiles Orphanage in Kenya - a two story, 10,000 sqft school building that will educate over 200 kids a year, pay 13 certified teachers, run on an 8.4.4. curriculum, and hopefully inspire a community to chase dreams. Also, thanks to our 501(c)3 tax exempt arm, we are able to accept donations for the build as well.
